Throughout the year, the Food Bank runs and participates in many events in and around North Bay. From student driven food drives to fundraisers, there is always an event coming up in the future. This is also where we share links to media coverage of the North Bay Food Bank.

2020 Capacity Boost Funding
The North Bay Food Bank was thankful to be a recipient of the 2020 Capacity Boost Grant. Food Banks Canada and the Walmart Foundation are proud to be able to partner on this program. With the funding, the North Bay Food Bank was able to purchase new storage and serving equipment to enhance the hampers our clients receive. Funds were used to acquire a stand up freezer and 2 door cooler, allowing the North Bay Food Bank to build new food rescue partnerships and receive more fresh, frozen and chilled protiens, fruits and vegetables for our clients.
2019 North Bay Food Bank Volunteer Appreciation Award
At the 2020 AGM, Katharine Strang, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Bay Food Bank, presented Scott McLaughlin with the 2019 Volunteer Appreciation Award. Scott has been volunteering with the Food Bank for over a year and is the smiling face who donates his time to do our weekly pick ups. No matter what the weather, Scott spends every Thursday going to our retail and grocery partners to pick up donations from our collecting bin. Scott is a true asset to the Food Bank and we are so grateful to have him on our team. Congrats on the award, it is most deserving.
Jun 262021 Annual General Meeting
The 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the North Bay Food Bank is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, starting at 5pm via Zoom online meeting platform.
As per the By-Laws of the North Bay Food Bank, membership is required annually. Membership forms must be received by the food bank by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in order to be in compliance with the requirements of our By-Laws. Please include an email address, as we will endeavor to communicate with our members electronically in an effort to produce less paper. You can email completed forms, or deliver them in person to the food bank at 1016 Fisher Street during business hours, up until 6:00p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
NOTE: in keeping with COVID-19 protocols, registration is required in order to attend the North Bay Food Bank AGM. You may RSVP by contacting the North Bay Food Bank: [email protected] or 705-495-3290. Upon confirmed RSVP, a Zoom meeting link will be sent to you, prior to the AGM.
